Elwood Fire and Police Dept. Dispatch has been moved to Madison County. The dispatch change is not by city choice. It is mandated by the state for all counties to have 1 (and some counties 2) central dispatch. This has been in the works for years now. It has been taken over by Madison County Sheriffs Dept. so please be patient as the bugs are worked out. If you have an alarm system or a Life Alert type system, the new number for them to use is (765) 642-0221.
